In the Stacks

I spent another afternoon exploring the archives at William Woods University. It's so fascinating looking through old photos and scrapbooks, remnants of the past people have donated that unfortunately are tucked away in boxes serving no purpose at all! At least I'm learning lots about the people who attended the college, however, and just having fun exploring. Today I found some photos of our Charlotte Jameson and the building where her music conservatory was located. Pretty neat, and I took my scanner so we can frame and hang them in the house...

Tomorrow I've got to buckle down and work on a manuscript, and on Friday we have a bridal luncheon...so the rest of the week will be busy. Trying to get things put away from the auction and our 'antiquing' weekend, and also started a box for my 'parlor sale' in Sept. Next Friday is our 'Melon Party' so we're working on generating some PR for that. It was held here 121 years ago and we're resurrecting it. Just a neat little gathering of 'melon carving' in the back yard!

That's about it for my day. Off to watch some Babylon 5--we're going through the entire 5 years!!
