...which is not a good thing if you own a B&B! I have no idea why no one is here, other than perhaps it's because school is starting back, and the weather's been so hot no one wants to get out of the house! It did cool down today however, and we've been having rain, so hopefully all this will change soon!

In the meantime, I had a nice lunch with a writer friend today, which means I didn't get a lot of work done. I did manage to get a bit of paperwork out the door once I got home, and a little of this and that. And I got a nice walk in this morning, so that's something! Besides, it's nice to have someone to talk writing with, who understands the difficulties of such.

Tomorrow, weather permitting, I'm going to attend the Saturday Writers in St. Peters--a writing coach/journalist will be speaking on making an impact in today's media environment, which seems relevant to me as a writer AND the B&B. I'm looking forward to it, and also to a somewhat quiet weekend--after all, we've had guests for practically 2 weeks straight. A break will be kind of nice, actually.
