Busy Day...

  • Fictions: The Sonnet Lover by Carol Goodman
Well, I'm afraid the writing time slipped away from me today, but I got so many other things accomplished I don't feel too bad. Also, I'm promising myself to do double tomorrow to catch up!

We started the day with a contractor friend coming to talk to us about adding on, which looks like it's going to be a real possibility. We just need to do some checking about where to get it financed, but it's going to be a great little space, I think, even if we end up living there OR renting it out! After that, I managed to squeeze in a walk which I ended at the car dealership picking up a Suburu Forrestor which I brought home for a trial drive. I really like it, in spite of the fact I'm a die-hard Honda fan--I've had 5 of them and hadn't planned to switch to anything else, ever, but the price is right on this car/SUV, and I really like it, so we'll see what happens!

Also had the ladies needle guild today which is always interesting--just a bunch of ladies who bring stuff and talk about it--very laid back but always interesting. Today they brought baby quilts--I don't have one, so I brought a shadow box with a tatted dress worn by my dad and me... King of a neat old thing from my family...

Went to a meeting tonight to turn in all the applications for historic designation on our street, and then we had dinner at Beks. I'm kind of pooped, since I drove the car to Columbia and back, and I sort of want to veg out on Mystery! tonight. So I'll sign off for now and return to report what's happened with the car, etc, at a later date.
