Even though I'm not making tons of progress, I'm making a concentrated effort to get some pages done every day. I feel like it's a real first draft--this book's going to need some serious re-writing to clean up the narrative. But at least I'm forging ahead, and for me, this is progress. So while I didn't manage to get much done work-wise today, I did my writing!

It's been really cool here, but at least the sun is back so I did get out and take a walk today. Also caught up on a bunch of phone calls and errands I needed to get done, scheduled a hair appt., called about getting my car in to have its windshield replaced (the crack came with it and the dealer is repairing.

Did I mention I LOVE my new SUV? I REALLY hate to admit it--but it drives great and is perfect for a road trip where I might need to haul something home. It got about 30 mpg which I thought was pretty good for a bigger vehicle. It'll be fun driving it to Texas, but they're gonna laugh at me--I said I'd NEVER own an SUV! Never say never...

That pretty much wraps up my day. I'm making dinner now--trying to shed a few pounds before HGTV, which will make me look so FAT! Alas!
