I'm off shortly to spend the evening with a couple of friends--I'm looking forward to it. The one whose house we're going to lives on a beautiful wooded lot with limestone bluffs behind. It's a fabulous spot, and though it is a little rainy, I'm sure it will still be lovely, and more lovely over wine with friends. We're going to plan a book-signing for my new book, GLASS HOURS, and I'm hoping my friend, who has a jewelry store, will do a window display. I think it would be kind of fun to pair romance with jewelry--can't think of 2 better things personally!
Today a young guy came and worked on my yard; did a really good job with the hedges, which were in desperate need of some attention. After that I went to the Y, and then to Walmart for groceries. It's a quiet weekend, but glad to get that out of the way. Tomorrow I may go to Jeff City and work on my booth--I'm moving it to a new spot, and I'd like to get it done before the weekend. Hopefully I'll get some sales--at least I think I did make last month's rent. If things don't pick up, I may have to close it, but I'll give it through the summer, I think.
That's pretty much it for my day...Gotta move along now!
